Canon launches its first full frame cine-zoom lenses for professional cinema productions and a new BCTV broadcast zoom lens, along with firmware updates for professional reference monitor and PTZ cameras

Amstelveen, 26 april 2022 – Canon introduceert vandaag haar eerste premium full-frame zoomlenzen voor professionele filmproducties – de Flex Zoom serie. De CN-E20-50MM T2.4 L F / FP en CN-E45-135MM T2.4 L F / FP staan garant voor uitstekende prestaties en een indrukwekkende kwaliteit voor HDR, 4K- en 8K-producties. Met de introductie van deze lenzen breidt Canon haar portfolio verder uit om tegemoet te komen aan de diverse behoeften van filmmakers – deze lenzen bieden filmmakers dan ook nog meer flexibiliteit en mogelijkheden om uit te kiezen en ondersteunen de registratie van hoogwaardige content voor uiteenlopende toepassingen en opnamescenario’s. Canon Europe announces also the launch of its latest broadcast zoom lens, the UHD DIGISUPER 122AF (UJ122x8.2B AF), which features premium 4K image quality with a 122x Zoom Ratio allowing the lens to reach an incredible 8.2 -1000mm (16.4-2000mm with in-built 2x extender) focal length range.


What sets the UHD DIGISUPER 122AF apart is the addition of a fast and accurate phase detection auto focus system to support with the capture of fast-moving subjects at 4K resolution, which can be deployed by the operator using the new FDJ-S31/41 focus controller. Canon will also be releasing new firmware for the DP-V1830 professional reference display, which will support broadcasters in achieving the best 4K HDR picture quality possible.

In addition Canon Europe announces a firmware update for the DP-V1830 professional reference monitor, which will be available from July 2022. The DP-V1830 is a 4K HDR display that features award-winning monitoring tools and uncompromising 12G-SDI connectivity, making it ideal for live broadcast studios, production trucks and on-set HDR monitoring. With the introduction of this new firmware, users will experience the full potential of this display, thanks to the addition of further advanced functionality that strongly supports 4K HDR broadcast productions.
