With 70 years of experience at the leading edge of imaging technology, Canon is at the forefront of developing camcorders that can meet the exacting requirements of HD image capture.
Cutting edge CMOS imaging technology has been developed by Canon engineers for use in the EOS range of D-SLR still cameras, harnessing years of semi-conductor expertise. Now the full power of Canon’s CMOS heritage is brought to its camcorder range for the first time with the introduction of the HV10.

Unlike other camcorders in its class, the HV10's 2.96 Megapixel sensor delivers full 1920x1080 pixel resolution: true HD that makes the most of HD-ready TV sets. An RGB Bayer Placement Filter offers amazingly rich and life-like colour reproduction. The sensor's on-chip noise reduction means that images are of the very highest quality.

A camcorder featuring Canon HD CMOS technology enables users to make the most of the possibilities of HD at home – shooting footage that reproduces the moment exactly as it was experienced.
